I'm on hiatus on tumblr mainly bc I'm.... very tired of certain fandoms and people........ But I need to ramble abt shit somewhere, so I will possibly actually be using this now. So catch me here in the coming weeks....... hopefully talking about things I enjoy, but I honestly at the moment I just have, like, a lot of thoughts about why Afterparty fell very flat for me that I may draft up (I love Oxenfree a lot, otherwise I wouldn't have bothered playing so early). And.... a lot of complaints abt Wolf 359... which someone tried to get me into a million years ago and, like, yes, the things I liked were very me, but also lmao......... what endlessly frustrating writing.................

Anyway........ @seafoamy and I have been watching Cinderella movies for the hell of it, and it's been a lot of fun? But poking at film adaptions of fairytales is making me realize we don't get very many memorable ones that actually play with things? As someone that really loves fairytale adaptions in literature it's a bit disappointing.

Tumblr is the most exhausting. I assume the 1997 adaptation is on your Cinderella list? That and Ever After are my favorite adaptations.

Of course! Hands down the best Cinderella musical and tied for fave with Ever After for me, too. I'm also pretty fond of the 2015 one, though. I think it's very affecting and earnest? And pretty. We're doing... let's see. Cinderella 1950/1997/2015, Ever After, The Slipper and the Rose, Three Wishes for Cinderella, A Cinderella Story, and Cinderella 3 (... time travel... seemed important...). Aaaand... then I think we're moving on to Snow White.

I am fond of the 2015 movie, and in awe of the dress, tbh.

On an ideal list yes, but in reality depends on how we feel when we get to the end of what we're watching, I think. She kinda despises it as a fan of the book (which... i mean, it is an extremely jarring adaption...), and I'm a little Hugh Dancy'd out given we watched Blood and Chocolate like a week ago and he's... very obnoxious in that....

The dress is beautiful. The way it moves!!!
